New Prince Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Our school is tucked away on Thirumalai Naicken Street in Vanuvampet. If you know the Chennai-91 area, you know these streets can get pretty crowded during the morning rush. We have been running things from 14/17 for years now. It is a noisy place when the bell rings and all the kids head out for the day, but that’s just how it goes with a school. The building has seen a lot of students come and go over the seasons. We aren't a massive campus with a stadium or anything like that. It’s a local school where the teachers know most of the parents by name because they live just a few lanes over. We spend a lot of time making sure the classrooms are ready and the books are sorted. During the monsoon, the street outside sometimes gets a bit of water, but we manage to keep things going. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the higher secondary requirements and all the paperwork for the matriculation board. We have wooden desks that have been used by many siblings over the years. You can hear the chatter of lessons if you walk by in the afternoon. It is just a regular school trying to do right by the families in Vanuvampet. No one here is putting on any acts. We just open the gates, do the teaching, and head home like everyone else in the neighborhood.
