Navadeesha Montessori School

Navadeesha Montessori School is located in Velacheri. Our specific address is near Ags Colony in Kalki Nagar, on 3rd Cross Street and 6th Main Road. If you are familiar with Velacheri, you know it can be a bit of a maze with all the different sectors and cross streets. We are tucked away in a residential part of the neighborhood, which is nice because it’s not right on the noisy main roads. The school follows the Montessori way, so the rooms are filled with specific wooden toys and learning tools rather than just rows of desks. The building itself is a converted residential property, which is quite common for schools like ours in Chennai. We have a small staff of teachers who really focus on the kids. Since we are near Vijaya Nagar, we get a lot of families from that side too. The weather in Velacheri can be tough, especially during the monsoon when the streets get a bit flooded, but we usually manage to keep things going regardless of the rain. Parents often stand around the 3rd Cross Street entrance for a bit of a chat after dropping their children off in the mornings. It has a very local, community feel to it. There’s nothing corporate about how we operate. We just care about the children having a good space to spend their morning. It’s a simple, practical school for the families living in this part of the city.
