Nalli Kuppuswamy Vivekananda Vidyalaya

Our school is tucked away on 11th Street in the TNHB Colony in Korattur. It is a residential area, so it's mostly quiet except for the usual neighborhood sounds. The school building isn't huge, but it fits into the colony nicely. We have a lot of students who just walk here from their homes nearby. That gives the place a very local, friendly atmosphere. We aren't a corporate chain; we are just a school that serves the families living in this part of town. Our classrooms are simple and we focus on the basic subjects that everyone needs. The teachers are hardworking and they know most of the students by name. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing budget. Most people find out about us from their neighbors or friends. We have a small yard where the kids gather for assembly in the morning. Sometimes it's a bit of a squeeze, but we make it work. When the bell rings at the end of the day, the streets fill up with students heading home. It is a nice sight. We try to keep the place clean and the atmosphere helpful. We don't make big promises we can't keep. We just offer a regular place for education in a familiar neighborhood. Parents seem to appreciate that we are right here and easy to talk to if there's ever a problem. It’s been this way for a long time and we like the consistency of our daily routine.
