Mariam Sons Exports Private Limited is located at 60/3 Godown Street. The name of the street pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the area. It’s a place built for storage and moving goods. Our building is one of many old structures along this road that have been used for trade for generations. It’s always a bit chaotic outside with handcarts and trucks trying to navigate the narrow street. Inside, it smells like old wood and whatever goods we happen to be moving that week. We’ve been in the export business for a long time, and this godown has seen a lot of history. There are stacks of boxes everywhere, and the floor is worn smooth from years of moving heavy crates around. We don't have a modern office with glass walls; it’s more about the practical side of things here. My sons and I handle most of the daily tasks, from checking the inventory to making sure the loaders are doing their job right. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of details. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to keep our records straight. The street gets very quiet at night after all the shops close, but during the day, it’s one of the busiest spots you can imagine. We like the grit and the hard work that comes with being on Godown Street.
