Leo Matriculation Higher Secondary School Annanagr

We are Leo Matriculation Higher Secondary School and we sit right near the Thirumangalam Police Station in Anna Nagar West Extension. Being in such a busy part of Chennai means there is always noise from the traffic and people moving about. The school is at No 1513 E and it has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. Our gate is usually busy in the mornings with parents dropping off their kids. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with all the scooters and cars. The school building has several levels and we use every bit of it for the classrooms and the labs. We don't have a massive field, but the kids find ways to play. The teachers are mostly women from around Anna Nagar who have been with us for years. We spend our days following the matriculation syllabus and making sure the notebooks are corrected. It’s a very normal school environment. No fancy air-conditioned lobbies or anything like that. We just have fans and open windows. The police station nearby is a very helpful landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. We mostly talk about upcoming tests and the school annual day. It’s a bit chaotic but that’s just how schools are. We focus on the daily lessons and the kids' safety. Most of the families around here know us well and that is how we like it.
