Lalaji Memorial Omega International School

Our school is out in Kolapakkam, right on the Pallavaram Road. It’s a big campus and we have a lot going on every single day. Since we are near the airport, you can sometimes hear the planes overhead, but the kids are so used to it they don't even look up anymore. We have a mix of buildings, some newer than others. It’s a long walk from one end of the place to the other, so we’re always on our feet. The morning routine is pretty standard—buses pulling in, parents dropping off their children, and the security guards trying to keep the traffic moving. We have students from all kinds of backgrounds here. The lunchroom is probably the loudest place on earth around noon. We don't try to be something we’re not. We just provide the space and the books and let the teachers do their thing. There’s always some maintenance work happening somewhere, a bit of painting or a leaky tap being fixed. It’s a living place that never really stays still. We have plenty of sports fields, and they get used even after the final bell rings. It’s a lot of responsibility looking after so many people, but we’ve been doing it for a while now and we have our rhythm down.
