Our place is in Kattangulthoor, specifically at No. 20 Sanjeevi Nagar. It's near the Chellayammal Koil Street. We handle various goods that need to go overseas. It involves a lot of paperwork and checking boxes. The office is small and usually filled with files and samples of things we export. Sometimes it feels like we are just moving paper around all day. But then a container gets loaded and it feels like we actually did something. We talk to people from different places on the phone. My English isn't perfect, but we manage to understand each other. The logistics can be a headache when ships are delayed or containers get stuck. We just sit here and try to figure out the best way to get things from here to there. Kattangulthoor is a bit away from the main city, but it's quiet. We like it that way. There’s a tea shop around the corner where we take breaks. The work isn't very exciting to look at. It's just a lot of organizing and making sure the labels are right. If one thing is wrong, the whole shipment gets stuck in some port far away. So we are careful. We've been doing this for a few years now. It started small and stayed pretty small. We are okay with that. Sometimes the local drivers have trouble finding the street, so we have to go out and wave them down. It’s all part of the daily routine here.
