Hussain Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School

Hussain Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located at 6 Nainiammal Street in Manthoppu Nagar, Ambattur. This area of Ambattur is quite busy, and our school is tucked right into the middle of the residential streets. The school has been around for a long time, and you can tell by the way the building looks. It looks its age, with old wooden doors and high ceilings in some of the main rooms. The street outside is narrow, so it gets a bit crowded in the mornings when everyone is arriving at the same time. We have a small courtyard inside where the students gather for their breaks, and there is an old tree that provides some shade on the hotter days. The classrooms are filled with rows of benches that have seen many generations of students pass through them. Our staff is a mix of people who have been here for decades and some younger ones who grew up in this neighborhood. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have enough chalk and boards to keep the lessons going. The sound of the local temple and the nearby shops is just a background noise we have grown used to. In the evenings, after the students leave, the building feels very quiet and still. It’s a local landmark for the people living on Nainiammal Street and throughout Manthoppu Nagar.
