Guru Shree Shanthi Vijay Vidyalaya

Our school is situated at 96 Vepery High Road. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you’ve probably seen the gates. It’s a busy part of the city, and the sound of horns is something we just live with during school hours. The building has been here for quite some time now. You can tell by the way the stairs are worn down in the middle from years of children running up and down them. We don’t have those fancy modern playgrounds you see in the new parts of town, but the kids find plenty of space to play. In the mornings, the street gets crowded with parents dropping off their little ones. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes, but we manage. Inside, the classrooms are plain and functional. We have the usual wooden benches and blackboards. The teachers have their own little staff room where there’s always a stack of notebooks waiting to be corrected. We aren't trying to be the most expensive or flashy school around. We’re just a local place for families in the Vepery area. Sometimes the paint peels a bit on the outside walls, but we fix it up when we can. It’s a community here, really. Most of the parents went to school here themselves years ago, so they know us well. It’s just a normal school day, every day, with a lot of noise and a lot of learning happening inside those walls.
