Green Valley Matric Higher Secondary School

We have been over here on Kalamegam Road for quite a while now. Most people around Mugapair West know exactly where we are, right near the corner where it turns into Mogappair East. It is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when all the kids are arriving at Green Valley Matric Higher Secondary School. The school started out pretty small years ago, just a few simple classrooms and some old wooden desks. Over time, we had to add more floors to the building because so many families moved into this part of the neighborhood. It gets really loud during the recess breaks, but that is just how it goes with a school. The teachers who work here mostly live in the nearby streets too, so you often see them at the local market or walking home after the final bell rings. We do not have any fancy glass walls or expensive modern art in the lobby. It is just a regular concrete building where students come to study hard for their matric exams. Sometimes the front gate needs a bit of oil because it squeaks in the wind, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint next summer. We try our best to keep the courtyard clean, though the trees tend to drop leaves everywhere no matter how much we sweep. Most of the parents who bring their children here actually went to school in this same area themselves. It is a local place.
