Gov.Girls Hr.Sec.School Dhawari

Located at New No 32 and Old No 50 on Montieth Road in Egmore, Gov. Girls Hr. Sec. School Dhawari has been a part of the Chennai 600008 landscape for a long time. It’s a government school for girls, which means we handle a lot of students from various parts of the city. Being on Montieth Road makes it easy for the girls to get here by bus or train since Egmore is such a central hub. The building shows its age a bit, but it has a lot of character and plenty of space for the higher secondary classes. We have large rooms with high ceilings and rows of benches that have seen many batches of students come and go. It’s a very busy place, especially in the mornings and when the school day ends. You’ll see groups of students in their uniforms talking near the entrance or heading toward the main road. The staff here deal with a lot of administrative work on top of teaching, so there is always someone carrying a stack of files or books. It’s not a fancy environment, but it serves its purpose for the community. We don't have a lot of modern amenities, but the focus is always on making sure the students are prepared for their exams. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of school that everyone in Egmore knows.
