Government Senior Secondary School

Our school is located at number 53 in the Alwarthirunagar Annex, just off Gandhi Street. It’s a senior secondary school, so we have the older students preparing for their futures. The area is mostly houses and small shops. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. The building is a big, simple block with plenty of windows for air. It’s not air-conditioned or anything, so we rely on the breeze. We have a lot of kids coming in from all parts of Alwarthirunagar and beyond. The morning traffic on Gandhi Street can be a bit much, but once the kids are inside, we get to work. We don't have a marketing department or glossy flyers. We are just a team of people trying to run a school the best way we know how. It involves a lot of paperwork and making sure the building stays in one piece. We see the students grow up and eventually leave, which is just the way it goes. It’s a very straightforward place. No one is trying to be important; we just do our jobs and go home at the end of the day. It’s a decent, honest place to be. We have some trees in the yard that give a bit of shade during the hot months. That's always nice for the students when they're outside. We just keep moving forward. The bell rings, the classes start, and we deal with whatever comes our way. That's life here.
