Government Secondary School Kunad

If you look for No 8/2 on 13th Avenue in Chetpet, you'll find us right there on Harrington Road. It is a central part of Chennai, and we have been operating this government secondary school for many years. The area is quite busy, but once you step inside the gates, things are a bit more organized for the students. We have a mix of kids from all over the Chetpet area. Some walk, some come by cycle. The school is a basic structure with the usual classrooms and a small ground for the morning assembly. We don't have many fancy facilities, but we make do with what the government provides. Our teachers are busy with lessons from morning till the afternoon bell. You might see parents waiting near the gate around three o'clock to pick up the younger ones. It’s a very local atmosphere here. Everyone knows the shopkeepers nearby and the landmarks. We don’t really do advertisements because the school stays full just with the local families living in the surrounding streets. It’s honest work, teaching the secondary levels and helping the kids prepare for their exams. There’s always some noise from the traffic on Harrington Road, but we are used to it by now. It’s just a normal school day for us, every day. Sometimes the water pipes give us a bit of trouble or a light needs fixing, and we just deal with it when we can. It's for the families who need a solid local option for their children.
