Government Secondary School Javantri

We are out in Redhills, specifically at 1/1899 Soliammankovil Street. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stand, but the kids manage it every day. The school is a secondary school, so we have the older kids here as well. It gets pretty lively during the breaks. The building is just a plain structure, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have our classrooms and the usual benches. We’ve been here for years, and most of the teachers are part of the neighborhood now. We don’t use any corporate talk here. We just talk like normal people. If a lightbulb goes out, someone climbs up and changes it. If the roof leaks a bit when it pours, we put a bucket down until it can be fixed. It’s a very grounded kind of place. We focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the students are where they need to be. The street can get dusty because of all the trucks passing through Redhills, but we keep the doors closed when it’s bad. It is what it is. Just a local school trying to get by and help the kids out. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just teaching the basics. It's a long day for everyone, but we get through it. The local temple is nearby, which gives the street its name. We just keep the gate open and wait for the bell to ring.
