We are located at Number 352 on Kammalar Street, right near Station Road in Korattur. Being so close to the railway station means there is always a lot of movement and noise around the school throughout the day. It’s a girls' higher secondary school, and we’ve been part of this Chennai neighborhood for quite a long time now. The students come in by train or walk from the local houses nearby every morning. It’s a busy place with girls chatting and heading to their various classes. The building is simple, with rows of classrooms and some office space where we handle all the administrative work and records. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the trains go by or during the lunch hour when everyone is outside. We don’t have fancy facilities, just the standard blackboards and benches you’d expect in a regular government school. Most of us who work here are used to the routine of bells, lesson plans, and grading papers. We spend our time checking homework and getting everyone ready for the big public exams at the end of the year. Sometimes the roof leaks a bit when the monsoon hits Chennai hard, but we manage to keep things dry. It’s a reliable place for the local girls to get their education without any fuss. We know most of the parents by name because they have lived here for generations. It’s just a regular school doing its job.
