Government Kallar High School Kinnimangalam

We are located right on Arcot Road in the Saligramam area, specifically at number 103. This is the Government Kallar High School that serves the Kinnimangalam area. If you know anything about Arcot Road, you know it is easily one of the busiest and loudest streets in all of Chennai. There is almost always a huge amount of traffic and honking outside our front gates, but once you actually get inside the school grounds, it feels a little bit different. We have the high school students here, which is mostly kids from this neighborhood who just need a place to finish their basic education. The building itself is older and it has definitely seen better days, but it is still sturdy and it serves its purpose for us. We have very simple classrooms with wooden benches that have probably been used by many different generations of students over the years. There really isn't much in the way of luxury or extra comforts here. We focus mostly on the basic subjects and making sure that the students are ready for their final years of schooling. The teachers are always busy and our staff is quite small, so everyone ends up helping out with just about everything that needs to get done. During the breaks, the little courtyard area gets very loud with all the kids running around and talking. It is just a regular government school, nothing more and nothing less than that. We don't have a marketing budget or any fancy websites. We just open up the gates every morning.
