Government Higher Secondary School

Government Higher Secondary School is at 45, G N T Road in Cholavaram. Being on the G N T Road means there is a lot of heavy traffic passing by all the time. You get used to the sound of the trucks after a while. The school is a government building, so it has that specific look to it. It’s quite large because we have many students. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up. We have a big gate at the entrance and a courtyard where everyone gathers. The classrooms are often crowded. We have a lot of desks squeezed into the rooms. The students are mostly from the local area around Cholavaram. They are good kids, just trying to learn. The teachers have a lot of work to do with so many students to look after. It gets very hot in the summer, and the fans are always spinning. We have a small area for sports, but it’s mostly just dirt. During the rains, the ground gets very muddy. We have been here at this location for many years. It’s a well-known spot in the community. Everyone knows the school on the G N T Road. It’s a busy, functional place. We don't have anything extra, just what's necessary for the classes. We just do the work every day without much fuss. It's just part of our life here.
