If you go down to Tambaram West, specifically to 7th Street in Krishna Nagar, you will see us at No 10. We are Government Higher Secondary School Tilkhan Sirmour. It’s a quiet residential street, so we try not to make too much noise, though that’s hard with a school full of children. The building is a basic structure. It’s got enough rooms for the different grades. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just ceiling fans that hum all day long. Being in Tambaram West is nice because it feels a bit more relaxed than the center of Chennai. We’ve got a small patch of ground out front. The name Tilkhan Sirmour is what we go by. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People mostly find us through word of mouth or because they live right nearby in Krishna Nagar. We focus on the books and the exams. There is always a pile of grading to do in the staff room. We drink a lot of coffee and talk about the neighborhood. It’s a very local vibe here. No 10 is just a place where education happens in a very simple way. We don't have a lot of extras, but we have what’s necessary. We are just regular people working at Government Higher Secondary School Tilkhan Sirmour, trying to do a decent job every day. It is a steady life and the street is peaceful.
