Government Higher Secondary School Ramgarh

This is the government school located on Ravanaiar Street in the Park Town area. If you have spent any time around this particular part of Chennai, you probably know that it is always crowded and there is constantly something happening near the station. We have the higher secondary classes here, so the students are a bit older and mostly focused on getting through their big final exams. The building is quite old and you can really see that history in the thick walls and the way the windows were built a long time ago. We do not have much in the way of fancy equipment, just the basic classrooms and the old blackboards. It gets very hot in the afternoons, but we have some fans that keep the air moving enough to stay focused. The teachers here stay busy with all the paperwork and trying to get through the entire syllabus before the year ends. Since it is a government place, there is always a specific way things have to be done. We see kids coming in from all over Edapalaiyam and other nearby spots every morning. It is a noisy place, especially when the classes change and everyone is out in the halls. We try to keep the kids focused on their books, which isn't always the easiest thing to do with the city noise right outside. Park Town is just like that, always moving and never really quiet. We have had so many batches of students pass through these doors over the many years we have been open.
