Government Higher Secondary School Patna Bugurage Rehli

Our school, Government Higher Secondary School Patna Bugurage Rehli, is tucked away at No 22 on Sasthiri Nagar 2Nd Lane. This is right in the Adyar area of Chennai, 600020. It might seem a bit confusing with the name including Patna and Rehli, but we are definitely here in the heart of Adyar. The lane is usually pretty quiet, which helps when we are trying to teach. The building has been here for years, and you can tell by looking at the stairs and the heavy wooden doors. We don't have a big fancy entrance, just a regular gate that we lock up every evening. Inside, it’s just rows of benches and chalk dust. The teachers arrive early to get the registers ready. We have students coming from all over this part of Chennai. Some walk from the nearby flats, and others take the bus. We spend a lot of time on the basics, making sure the kids understand their math and science. The playground isn't huge, but it's where everyone goes during the lunch break to eat their tiffin. We try to keep things organized, though it can get a bit chaotic when the final bell rings. It’s just a normal school doing its job every day. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech gear, but the students learn what they need to. The staff room is always full of tea cups and old notebooks.
