Government Higher Secondary School Khargoan

If you go down Gugan Street in Virugambakkam, you will find us located at 10/11. We are the Khargoan school. It is a bit of a tucked-away spot, which is actually quite nice because it stays a little quieter than the main roads nearby. We have been here for a long while now, just serving the families that live around this particular part of Chennai. The building is only a couple of floors high, nothing massive or intimidating. We have a small playground area in the back where the kids run around and make a lot of noise during their lunch break. Our staff is mostly made up of people who have been teaching for twenty years or even more in some cases. We don't do anything too fancy with our teaching methods; we just stick to the government books and make sure every student understands the material before moving on. Sometimes the roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon hits Chennai particularly hard, but we just put some buckets out and keep the lessons going. It is just how things are around here. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, being a government school, so the office staff is always busy with their ledgers and rubber stamps. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so the walls are just plain and simple. We find that the kids don't really mind as long as they have their friends to play with.
