Government Higher Secondary School Gournagar

T.Nagar is always crowded, and our school, Government Higher Secondary School Gournagar, is right in the middle of it on South Dhandapani Street. Being at 2/29 means we deal with a lot of noise from the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. The school isn't anything special to look at. It’s got those tall gates and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. We’ve got students coming in from all over the area. It’s a busy spot. Most mornings, you see the kids walking in with their heavy bags. We keep the registers and the chalkboards ready. Some days are harder than others, especially when it’s hot outside. We don’t have central air or anything like that, just some old ceiling fans that hum. The staff room is usually a bit of a mess with papers everywhere. We handle things as they come. It’s a government school, so things move at their own pace. We focus on getting through the lessons and making sure everyone shows up. There’s a small shop nearby where everyone gets their snacks. If you're looking for us, we're just down Burkit Road. It’s a plain place, but it’s been here for the community for a long time. People around here know the name well. We just keep the doors open and do the daily work even when it gets a bit stressful.
