Government Higher Secondary School Girls Khurai

Our school sits at No 10, T P Koil Street in Ayanavaram. Government Higher Secondary School Girls Khurai is where many of the girls from this side of Chennai - 600023 come for their classes. The street is usually busy, and there’s always something going on nearby. It’s a girl’s school, so we try to keep it a safe and quiet place for them to study, though the city noise still finds its way in. The building is an old one, with high ceilings and some wear and tear on the floors. We do what we can to keep it clean and running. There aren't any big marketing brochures here. We just have our classrooms and the daily schedule. The teachers here have been around for years, and they know most of the families in the area. We spend a lot of time on the basics, making sure the girls are ready for their exams. During the lunch break, you can hear them chatting in the corridors. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of place. We handle the usual stuff like registration, exams, and keeping the supplies stocked. It’s a lot of management and patience. We don't have fancy facilities, but we have enough for the girls to get their work done. It’s just how it is for a local school in a busy neighborhood like Ayanavaram. Every afternoon the girls head home and the street gets crowded again.
