Government Higher Secondary School Bagarh

We are over here at No 3/11 on Ambedkar Street in Saligramam. It’s a busy part of Chennai. Most days start pretty early with the kids coming in through the main gates. You can hear them from the end of the road. It’s an old place, Government Higher Secondary School Bagarh, and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories if they wanted to. We’ve got the usual stuff you’d expect in a school like this. There’s the big yard where everyone stands for assembly in the mornings when it’s not too hot yet. Sometimes the fans in the classrooms make a bit of a racket but nobody really minds much. We spend a lot of time just getting through the syllabus and making sure the registers are filled out. The street outside gets quite crowded in the afternoons when parents come to pick up the younger ones. It’s just how things are around here. We don't have anything fancy, just the desks, the blackboards, and a lot of chalk dust. Teachers sit in the staff room drinking tea during the breaks while the kids run around. Saligramam has changed a lot over the years with more buildings popping up, but the school stays pretty much the same. We deal with the rainy season leaks and the summer heat like everyone else in this part of town. It’s just a regular place where people come to work and learn every single day.
