Government High School Madana

Government High School Madana is located over at No A4 Plot G Magheswari Flats, right on the 1st Main Road in Elim Nagar. Perungudi is a crowded area, so having the school here in the middle of these residential buildings makes it a very local affair. We operate out of a space that feels more like a home than a big institution, which is just the way things worked out. You can hear the sounds of the city right outside our windows while the students are working on their exams. Most of our day is spent managing the limited space we have and keeping the kids focused when it gets loud outside. The 600096 pin code has seen a lot of changes, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We have the usual wooden benches and blackboards that have seen better days. It’s a lot of walking up and down the stairs for the staff. We don’t have a massive playground, so the kids make do with what’s available. It’s a very hands-on way of running a school. We know all the parents because they live right next door or just a few streets away. When it rains, the water collects a bit near the entrance, and we have to put out bricks for people to step on. It’s just everyday life for us here, nothing too complicated or special. We just try to keep things going as best we can.
