Government High School Jaitpurkala

Government High School Jaitpurkala is found at Old No 6/3, which is now New No 45, on Maraimalai Adigalar Street. This is over in Mogappair East, Chennai 600037. It’s a bit of an older building, which you can tell by the style and the way the numbers have changed over the years. The school is right on the street, so it’s easy to find if you’re walking through the neighborhood. We have a modest setup inside. The rooms are filled with old-fashioned desks and the walls have a few charts hanging up. It’s a government school, so it’s all very basic and practical. There isn’t any air conditioning or fancy lounge areas. We just have the classrooms and a small office where the paperwork gets handled. Every morning, the street comes alive as the kids arrive. The teachers are usually here early to get the chalk and the registers ready. It’s a simple routine that hasn’t changed much in a long time. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit loud, especially with the bikes going past. We just keep the windows open and carry on with the lessons. It’s an unpretentious place where the focus is just on the basic education of the kids who live nearby. We don’t have much in the way of extras, but the building serves its purpose day in and day out for the community here.
