Government High School Dadar

You can find us over at 5/288 in Mogappair East. This is a government high school that serves the local area. It is a simple place, just a building with several classrooms and a small administrative area. We have been here for a while and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We get students from all sorts of backgrounds who live nearby. Most of them walk or come by cycle every morning. The school isn't anything fancy to look at. We have the usual green boards, wooden desks, and old cupboards for the files. The teachers here are practical people who just want to get their work done and help the students pass their exams. We don't have a lot of extra activities, just the basic sports and the occasional school event. It is a very routine life here. We start the day with an assembly and then it is straight into the lessons. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with papers and tea cups. We don't use any slick marketing or big promises to get students. They come here because it is their local school. It is an honest, hardworking environment where everyone knows their role. We just keep the school running day after day, year after year. It is a busy place but it is our place, and we are happy to be part of this community in Chennai.
