Government High School Bhiyana

If you head over to No.1/436 in Sri Sai Nagar, you’ll find Government High School Bhiyana. We are situated in Okkiyam Thuraipakkam, which is part of that growing Chennai 600097 area. The school is right there near the houses, and the dusty roads around us are always full of people. It’s a busy spot, and we try our best to keep the school grounds neat, though the wind usually has other plans. Our day starts with the sound of the gates opening and the kids running in from the surrounding streets. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans and the open windows to keep the air moving. Most of our time is taken up with the basic stuff, like teaching the subjects and making sure everyone follows the rules. The building has a simple layout, and we’ve tried to make the most of the space we have for the different grades. You won’t find any shiny brochures here, just teachers who have been doing this for a long time. We know the local shopkeepers and the parents who drop their kids off on their way to work. It’s a real, living part of the neighborhood. We just do the work that needs doing and try to keep things running smoothly despite the occasional hiccups with the water or the power. It is just how we operate day to day.
