Government High School And Pu College

Our place is the Government High School And Pu College, located at Plot No 96/99 in the Industrial Estate of Perungudi. Since we are in the 600096 area of Chennai, there’s always a lot of activity around the gates. We have both the high school section and the pre-university college here, so the age range of students is quite broad. It’s a big plot, but since it’s in an industrial estate, it feels very functional and gray. We have a lot of students coming from the surrounding neighborhoods. The classrooms are basic, with wooden benches and old ceiling fans that hum a lot. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. This is just where the government put the school and college for this part of the city. Usually, the mornings are the busiest when everyone is trying to get through the gates at the same time. We have a small playground, but it's mostly dirt and gets muddy when it rains. The teachers here have been around for years and know most of the families in the area. It’s a decent enough place to get an education without any of the extra frills you see in private schools. We just do the work day in and day out. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes with the heat, but we make it through the term.
