You will find us on K R Koil Street in West Mambalam. This is where our government girls' higher secondary school is based. It is right in the middle of a residential area, so it feels very much like a part of the local community. The building is quite simple and has that old-school feel to it with high ceilings and big windows. We have a lot of students coming from the surrounding streets. It gets quite busy in the mornings when the girls arrive. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech labs, but we have the basics like blackboards and enough benches for everyone. The staff here are just regular people who have been teaching for a long time. We spend our days going from one class to another and checking on how the students are doing. It is a straightforward kind of environment. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People in the area just know who we are. We focus on the exams and making sure the girls are ready for what comes after school. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic during the lunch breaks or when there is an event, but that is just how it goes in a school. We are happy to be a steady part of the lives of the families here. It is just a normal school doing its job day after day without any extra frills or polished brochures.
