Government Boys Senior Secondary School

This school sits in R R Nagar Annex, tucked away a bit on the 2nd Cross Street here in Iyyappanthangal. It is a government school for older boys, so things can get quite lively in the hallways. Since it is a senior secondary level, the focus is usually on the older students trying to get through their final years of school. We have some decent space here, and the location is quiet compared to the main roads nearby. The classrooms have high ceilings and the usual rows of desks that have seen many students come and go. Teachers spend their days going from one room to another, carrying their books and papers. It isn't a place for anything decorative or unnecessary. We just provide a spot for these boys to study and hopefully pass their exams. During the summer, it gets quite hot, but we manage with the fans we have. The school yard is where everyone gathers before things start in the morning. People in the neighborhood are used to the sound of the school bell ringing throughout the day. We are a standard part of the local landscape. No one here is trying to be something they aren't. It is just a regular government school doing what it needs to do for the boys in Chennai. We have been at this address for a long time now.
