Government Boys Higher Secondary School Ichhawar

Our school is tucked away on Srinivasa Avenue Road in Raja Annamalai Puram. It is a place where local boys come to finish their higher secondary years. The building itself has seen better days, maybe needs a bit of paint here and there, but it serves us well. Most of us who work here have been around for a long time. We know the families in the area and have seen many brothers come through the same classrooms. It gets quite loud during the lunch hour when everyone is out in the corridors or the small yard. We mostly focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the students are prepared for their final exams. It’s not a fancy private academy with air conditioning. We have ceiling fans that hum all day and heavy wooden desks that have been carved into by generations of students. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit much, but once the first bell rings, things settle into a routine. We deal with the usual school stuff like missing pens, dusty blackboards, and trying to keep the hallways clear. It is a straightforward kind of place. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local government school. People know where to find us. We just show up every morning, open the gates, and get to work teaching. It's a busy life but it feels right being part of this neighborhood for so many years now.
