Government Basic Primary School

Our school, Government Basic Primary School, is right here on No 10, Bharathi Street in Ambattur. If you know this part of Chennai, you probably walk past us every day. We handle the younger kids who are just starting out. It's an old building, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for the families nearby. Most of the staff live around here too. The mornings get quite busy when the parents drop the little ones off. You can hear the noise from the street. We’ve got the basic classrooms set up. It’s mostly just making sure the kids learn their basics and have a safe place to be during the day. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but that's just how it is in this part of town. We don't have a huge playground, but there's enough room for the kids to run around a bit. People in Ambattur know where we are. We've been at this 600053 pincode area for a long time now. Usually, things are pretty quiet once the lessons start. We just keep to our routine and make sure the children are looked after. It isn't a big institution with lots of bells and whistles, just a regular local school for the neighborhood children. We see the same faces every day. It's a simple setup on Bharathi Street.
