Government Aided School

Our school sits at Number 10 on Ayanambakkam Road here in Ambattur. It’s a government-aided school, so we’ve been a part of this community for a long time. The building is quite plain and simple, sitting right on the edge of the road where you can see everyone passing by. We have kids from all over the local area walking in every morning with their heavy bags. It’s a very normal school environment for this part of Chennai. We have our classrooms, a small area for the staff, and a place where the kids can sit and eat their lunch. The furniture is a bit old and some of the wooden doors creak, but it gets the job done for the day. We don’t have much in the way of extra luxuries, but the teaching happens every day regardless of what we lack. The noise from the road can be a bit much sometimes, especially during the peak hours, but the students are used to it. We focus on the basic subjects and follow the usual government guidelines for the academic year. A lot of the teachers have been working here for over a decade and know the families who live on the surrounding streets. It’s a steady, reliable place for the kids in this part of Ambattur to get their education. Nothing fancy, just a local school doing its bit for the neighborhood and making sure the children learn.
