Goutham E Techno School

Goutham E Techno School sits on Royapettah High Road, specifically on TVK 3rd Street in Mylapore. If you know Chennai, you know how busy this area gets, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work or school. We occupy number 17. The school has been part of the Mylapore scene for a while now. It’s not a quiet place because of the traffic outside, but inside we try to keep things moving. We focus on the tech side of things because that’s the name on the door, but really it’s just a lot of books and students sitting at desks. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with papers and tea cups. We don't have a giant playground, so the kids make do with the space they have. Sometimes the bells are a bit too loud, but at least everyone knows when it’s time to switch classes. We get a lot of local families sending their children here. The walk from the main road is short, but you have to watch out for the scooters. It’s a plain building, painted a color that’s faded a bit over the years. We just show up, do the teaching, and head home when the sun starts to go down. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do here every single day without much fuss or noise from the management. Everyone just understands their role and we get through the syllabus month by month as the time passes by in our little corner of the 600004 area.
