Gouso Khwaja International Convent School

Gouso Khwaja International Convent School is situated at No 33/88 A on Thiruvenkada Street in Pudupet. Even though the name sounds a bit formal, we are a very down-to-earth school. Pudupet is a busy neighborhood in Chennai, known for its spare parts shops and narrow alleys. Our school is right there in the middle of the community. The building is a simple structure with several floors. We don’t have a massive campus with grass and trees. Most of our activities happen within the four walls of the school. The children wear their uniforms and carry their bags up the stairs every morning. We have a small staff of teachers who live around this area and know the families well. The classrooms are basic with wooden desks and benches that have seen better days. We try to keep things orderly, but with so many kids in a tight space, it can get a bit chaotic at times. We don’t have a lot of fancy technology or high-tech classrooms. It is just a regular school where we follow the lessons and help the kids with their homework. We have been part of Thiruvenkada Street for quite a while now. It is a place that feels like home to many of the local kids who come here every single day to study. We just do our best with what we have.
