Gita'S Homemade is based right in Annanagar, at Meera Apartments on 12th Main Road. Our unit is in 2131/8. Being in a residential apartment complex keeps us close to the people we serve every day. We are an LLP, but the heart of the business is very much about that homemade feel we all grew up with. We do not have large industrial machines humming all day. Instead, it is a lot of manual work and traditional methods. The kitchen is busy from dawn until late in the evening. We started this because we wanted to make something that did not feel like it came out of a huge factory. Annanagar is a lively place, and being on the 12th Main Road means there is always movement and noise outside our door. We get our ingredients from the local markets nearby to keep things fresh. The apartment space is well-organized, even if it gets a bit cramped when we have a big order to finish by the weekend. We do not have a massive advertising budget or a social media manager. Most of our customers are people who have heard about us from their friends or neighbors in the building. We keep our notes in simple registers and handle all the deliveries ourselves. It is a lot of hard work, especially during the hot summers, but seeing the finished products makes it worth the effort. We just try to keep things honest.
