We are located at No: 8A on Redhills Road in Ambattur. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the traffic. We’ve got shelves full of paint cans and hardware bits that seem to go on forever. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when a big shipment comes in and we have to find space for everything. We spend a lot of time helping people figure out which screw or bolt they actually need because they usually come in with just a broken piece in their hand. It’s mostly just us here, wearing old clothes that usually have a bit of paint on them somewhere. Ambattur is a working-class area, so people here want things that last. We try to keep what they need in stock. The lights in the back of the shop are a bit dim, but we know where every single item is located. It’s not a showroom, it’s a hardware store. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the cars go by. Other days, everyone comes in at once and it’s a bit of a scramble. We’ve been at this for a good while now. We don't do much advertising; people just know we’re here on Redhills Road. We close up around the usual time and go home to get ready to do it all over again the next morning.
