We opened Spectrum Home Decors on Sadan Street a while back now. It’s a busy spot in Jawahar Nagar, right at number 80. Most days start with us dusting off the shelves and rearranging the stuff we have on display. We’ve got a lot of things for people looking to fix up their rooms, like curtains, some cushions, and different wall pieces. It’s not a huge place, so things get a bit crowded sometimes when new stock arrives. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes boxes just sit in the corner for a day or two. People from around the neighborhood drop in quite a bit. Usually, they’re looking for something specific to match their sofa or just want to see what’s new in the shop. My cousin helps out when things get busy in the afternoons. It’s a lot of work making sure everything looks decent and answering questions about colors or sizes. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure the shop stays open and people find what they need for their houses. The street outside can get pretty loud with traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just us chatting with customers. We’ve learned over time which fabrics people like more and what usually stays on the shelf too long. It is just a regular local shop trying to provide basic home stuff for the folks living nearby. We like being part of the street here.
