You can find Dream And Painting Art Gallery at Shop No. 43 in Poru Kandika Puram. We are on Paris Street, which is quite close to Hr Hospital. There’s always a lot of foot traffic from people visiting the hospital or walking through the neighborhood. The shop is quite small, so we have to hang paintings pretty high up on the walls to fit everything in. It smells like linseed oil and turpentine the moment you walk through the door. I usually have paint under my fingernails most of the time. We sell some finished pieces, but we also spend a lot of time just working on new ones right there behind the counter. It’s not a fancy place with white walls and silence. Usually, we have some music playing and there are brushes soaking in jars everywhere. People stop in just to look around while they are waiting for someone at the hospital. We talk to them about the colors or how long a piece took to dry. Paris Street can get a bit loud with the traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s just about the art. We don't really follow any big trends; we just paint what we feel like and hope someone likes it enough to take it home. It’s a simple way to make a living and we enjoy the people who come by. It’s our little corner of creativity and we try to keep it as welcoming as possible despite the clutter.
