Veeman Paint

Veeman Paint is located at 913 Vinayagapuram in Kattupakkam. You can find us pretty easily because we are right near the Murugan Temple. The temple bells ring at certain times of the day, and it is a sound we have grown very used to over the years. Our shop is full of cans of all sizes. There are stacks of them against every wall. Because we deal with paint, there is usually a bit of a chemical smell in the air, but it’s not too strong. We have some color charts that are a bit worn out from so many people flipping through them. The floor has a few splashes of different colors where a drop or two fell over the years. It gives the place some character. Kattupakkam is a growing area, so we see a lot of new faces along with the regulars who have been coming here forever. We spend a lot of time mixing colors and talking to people about what they need for their houses. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives and we have to find space for it all. We don’t have a fancy office; it’s just a desk near the back where we keep the ledger. It’s a simple setup. We like it that way because it makes it easier to focus on the work. The temple nearby brings a lot of foot traffic to the street, so it never feels lonely.
