Ellen Sharma Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary School is located at New No 9 on School Street in Sholinganallur. Being in this part of Chennai, specifically the 600119 area, means we are right in the middle of a very busy neighborhood. School Street is exactly what it sounds like, a place where families and students are always moving around. Our building has been here for quite some time, and many people in Sholinganallur have seen their kids grow up while attending classes here. It’s a matriculation and higher secondary school, so we deal with a wide range of ages, from the little ones to the teenagers getting ready to leave. The space is used fully every day. It can get a bit cramped when everyone is out for their lunch break, but we make it work. The teachers and the office staff are always on their feet. We don’t have a massive campus with fields, but we have the rooms and the equipment needed for the daily lessons. There are marks on the walls and the desks have seen a lot of use, which is just part of being a local school that’s been around for a while. It’s a busy, practical place to be.
