Delhi Public School

Down here at Uniworld City, things are always moving. Our school is tucked away off Nellikuppam Road, and if you know the area near Nallambakkam, you know it’s a bit of a drive from the city center. The mornings are usually a bit cooler before the Chennai humidity really starts to settle in. We see the buses coming in from all over, winding down the Vandalur to Kelambakkam Road. It’s a large campus and keeping track of everything can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve got staff who arrive early to make sure the halls are swept and the water filters are working. There’s always a bit of dust in the air because of the construction nearby, but we don't let it bother us much. During the breaks, you can hear kids shouting across the grounds. We try to keep things practical. If a fan stops working, someone’s on it pretty quick. We don’t do things in a very fancy way; it’s more about getting through the lessons and making sure everyone gets home on time. The evening traffic on the road back towards Kelambakkam can be something else, so we’re always watching the clock. It’s just a regular place where we show up, do our jobs, and watch the kids grow up a bit every year. Sometimes we have local vendors coming by with supplies, and there’s always someone in the office sorting out paperwork or answering the phone. It feels like a small village of its own out here in Nallambakkam.
