We are located at No 12 in Mogappair East. This is right in the J J Nagar area. Dav Matric High Secndry School Mugappair East is a name most people around here recognize. It’s not a new building by any means. It’s been standing there while the neighborhood changed around it. The streets in Mogappair East are always busy. You have people walking to the local shops and buses going past all day. Our building sits right in the middle of it. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stand but not too bad. Inside, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are sturdy. We have the classrooms spread across the floors. When the bell rings, the whole place vibrates with kids moving around. It’s a very local feel. We don’t have a big corporate office or a lobby with a fountain. It’s just a regular school building. The staff rooms are tucked away in the corners. We spend a lot of time organizing things and making sure the lights work. JJ Nagar is a lived-in kind of place, and we fit right in. There is always someone at the gate checking people in. It’s a simple life here. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It’s just a school for the local kids in this part of Chennai. We keep it running and that’s about it.
