Crescent School

Crescent School is right on Gst Road in Vandalur. If you’ve ever driven down that way, you know how much traffic there is, but once you get inside our gates, it’s a bit different. We have a fairly large setup here because we’ve been around for quite some time. The building is a bit of a mix of old and new sections where we’ve tried to make more room as the years went by. It’s a very busy place from the moment we open up in the morning until the last bus leaves. We don't have a corporate feel at all; it’s more about the teachers and the kids just getting through the day. The hallways are long and can get pretty echoed when the classes are changing. We have a playground that sees a lot of use, though the grass doesn’t always stay green with so many feet running over it. Our office is usually swamped with paperwork and people coming in with questions about admissions or fees. We don’t use any of that marketing speak about being the best because we’re just a local school doing our part. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy, and the whiteboards have some stains that won't come off, but that’s just how it is. We focus on the lessons and trying to keep everyone on track. By the time evening rolls around, the noise from Gst Road seems even louder as we're closing up for the night.
