You can find us out on the Vandalur - Kelambakkam Highway in the Melakottaiyur area. Because we are right on the highway, there is always a lot of movement nearby, with trucks and cars heading back and forth all day long. The school itself is set back a little from the road to help with the noise. It’s a fairly large building with plenty of windows to let in the light. The kids come from Melakottaiyur and some of the other spots along the highway. We have a routine that starts early in the morning before the traffic gets really heavy. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff—desks, boards, and books. We don't spend much time worrying about how things look as long as they work for the students. The playground is a big hit, even if it gets a bit dusty during the dry season. Our teachers are local people who understand the area and the families here. We just try to get through the lessons every day and make sure the children are safe. Sometimes the highway can be a bit loud, but the students are used to it by now. We keep a simple office where we handle the paperwork and meet with parents. It’s a practical place for kids to spend their day. People in Melakottaiyur know us as the school on the highway. We just keep doing our daily work without making a lot of noise about it.
