Our place is located at No. 63 Venkatesh Street over in Chintadripet. If you know this part of town, you know it gets busy early. We are usually up and moving before the sun even starts to show because that is when the catch comes in. It is a small space, nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the malls. We deal with whatever is available that day. Some mornings the selection is great, other times it is just a few things, but that is the nature of seafood. The floor is usually wet and there is always plenty of ice around to keep everything cold. Chintadripet is a crowded area, so parking is always a bit of a mess near our shop. Most of the folks who come to us are just neighbors or people from the nearby streets who want something for their lunch or dinner. We have a couple of guys who help with the cleaning and packing. It gets pretty noisy with everyone talking and the knives hitting the boards. We have been here at this address for a good bit now. It is a simple life, just selling what the sea gives us. We don't do much fancy talking, we just show what we have and let people choose. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff by noon, so it pays to come by early if you can.
