Spencer Plaza is a big place, so being on the 2nd floor in the 2nd phase means people have to walk a bit to find us. We’ve been at No. 68 B for a while now. Mount Road is always busy outside, you can hear the traffic even up here sometimes. We spend most of our days unpacking boxes and folding things. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is in an old mall. Sometimes the air conditioning is great, other days it struggles. Most of our regulars know exactly where we are, right past the corner near the elevators. We don't have fancy displays, just shelves full of stock. My desk is tucked in the back where I keep the ledgers. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for the morning rush to start. It’s a bit of a maze in here if you aren’t used to Spencer Plaza. The light in the hallway flickers occasionally. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the stock is counted. It’s not a glamorous spot, but it’s home for us during the work week. We’ve seen many shops come and go on this floor, but we just keep doing our thing at 769 Mount Road. The windows don’t open, so we rely on the building vents. It’s a steady life, just handling the day-to-day stuff and keeping the doors open for whoever walks in.
