Our office is on Lalakutty Street in Periamet. It’s one of those places where the address can be a bit confusing because we have the old number 14 and the new number 29 on the door. People still get them mixed up sometimes when they’re looking for Vinayaga Leder Exports. Periamet has its own specific smell and feel because of all the leather work happening around here. It’s an old part of the city, and the streets are narrow but always full of life and carts moving back and forth. We spend a lot of our time inside this building dealing with the export side of things. The walls are thick and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down outside on the hot pavement. There isn't much room for a big sign or anything flashy, so you have to look closely to find us among the other buildings. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local tea sellers and couriers know who we are. It’s a busy neighborhood where everyone is trying to get their goods shipped out. Inside, it’s mostly just us surrounded by paperwork and piles of samples. We don't really do the flashy corporate thing here. It’s more about making sure the crates are packed right and the numbers match up at the end of the day. The fans hum all day while we work through the pile of documents on the desks. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living in a part of town that never really stops moving.
