Modern Bags

Modern Bags is located inside Suraj Pride, specifically at 51/2 Perumal Mudali Street. Our shop number is 15. If you are coming from Mint Street, you can find an entrance near 166 which leads right into the Sowcarpet area. Sowcarpet is always crowded, as anyone who lives in this part of the city knows. The streets are narrow and full of people moving stuff around. Our little shop is tucked in there among all the other businesses. We mostly keep bags for daily use, things that people actually need. It’s not a very large space, so we have to use the walls and every corner to store the bags we have. You can reach us through the Perumal Mudali Street entrance or the one on Mint Street, which makes it a bit easier depending on where you are parked or walking from. It gets really hot in the middle of the day, but the shop stays busy enough. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team, it's just us at Shop No. 15. The building, Suraj Pride, is a well-known spot so usually people don't have too much trouble finding us once they get into the heart of Sowcarpet. We’ve been here for a while and the name Modern Bags is just what’s on the board outside. It’s a simple setup for a simple business, just selling bags to whoever walks through the door and needs something to carry their things.
